Program Coordinator (Remote)

Organization: Going to Seed
 Location: Remote
 Job Type: Part-Time : 20 Hours per month (about 5 hours per week)
 Compensation: $25-$30/hr 

About Us: Going to Seed is a grassroots initiative dedicated to shifting agriculture towards adaptation, community and diversity. We work with individual growers, farmers, volunteers, seed libraries, and community organizations to promote local seed adaptation, food sovereignty, and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate volunteers, ensuring they are onboarded,  and supported

  • Respond to volunteer inquiries, conduct intake meetings, and send periodic check-ins to maintain engagement

  • Research and track grant opportunities, assist with writing applications. Identify potential foundations, edit fundraising letters, and manage mailings

  • Manage and create email campaigns 

  • Make updates to our Shopify website

  • Respond to inquiries from the contact form and assist  with customer service

  • Support our Seed Share Program by monitoring submissions, managing communications with contributors and seed stewards, and coordinating grow out efforts

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit administration, or customer service

  • Familiarity with email marketing tools, Google Suite, and Zoom

  • Grant writing or research experience is a plus

  • Passion for sustainable agriculture and community-driven initiatives

  • Graphic design skills a plus
