Local Adaptation Project Kits

Colorful growing guides complete with diverse seed packets, these zines are designed to help Seed Libraries and community groups to start their own local adaptation projects. Each kit contains 20 zines and 20 packets of seed.

Limit one kit per order. You may place additional orders if you want more than one kit.

What we ask of you

  1. Add local return info: Include a physical insert in the zine with instructions on how, where & when to return seeds in your community.
  2. Collect email addresses from every patron who takes a zine. 
  3. Send at least one email to the list, including a reminder at the end of the growing season with seed saving instructions and return instructions.  In our experience, multiple check-ins and reminders are an effective way to engage your patrons and get seeds back. 
  4. Stay in touch with us!  We'd love to see photos of  how you're displaying the zines.  And we’d love to hear how it goes for you at the end of the season. Your story helps us tell our story as we engage other communities in this project.

Optional:  Host a harvest, seed saving or tasting party to increase participation and seed return rates.
