These eggplants were sourced from a variety of growers. It contains a mix of selfed varieties, and F1, and F2 offspring of crosses. Skin color leans heavily towards dark purple, but the ancestors included other colors. The fruit shape of the ancestors included large bulky fruits, long skinny fruits, and compact fruits. The cross pollination rate of eggplant varies from about 0% to 40% depending on variety and ecosystem, making it a good species to work with for adaptation agriculture. 1/4 teaspoon of seeds, perhaps around 200.

You may receive packages that have less than the stated number of seeds, germination rates may not meet the federal standards, shipping may be slower than you prefer, or there may be any other number of unanticipated glitches. Please be patient with us as we improve the standards over time.
