Adopt a Clackamas Squash Pilot Project

Kay Everts and the Seeds for Sharing Seed Library are the organizers of this project.

Maxima Winter Squash

Seeds were selected by Joseph Lofthouse in Paradise, Utah of the earliest, with dry, dark orange (nutritious flesh). The seeds were then grown locally, at the Seeds for Sharing Seed Garden for 3 years to promote local adaptation. For the project, they were supplemented with 25 seeds from Going to Seed to add additional genetic diversity.
